ABOUT

Noise_Media Art, Turkey's first international art fair focusing on media art, will take place in September 2024 at Palais Festetics, one of the characteristic spaces of 19th century Viennese architecture. The media art fair is unique in Turkey and one of the few events of its sort worldwide. This unique event aims to unite art enthusiasts interested in exploring various facets of media art. Also the first art fair to be exported from Turkey six months after its first edition, will host a rich content, including interactive installations, digital artworks and different forms of media art.

Second edition of Noise_Media Art will mainly feature artists with an experimental approach in their art practice. Noise_Media Art, which is only open to invited artists and galleries, will feature a selection of works by pioneering artists from today's art scene who produce outside of traditional media and use the possibilities offered by technology in their art practice.

Venue

Palais Festetics

9th District, Vienna

Vienna's 9th district is welcoming a new venue for contemporary art with the Palais Festetics. As of May 2024, this historic building started hosting events and exhibitions of contemporary art for the next two years. A group specializing in temporarily using historical buildings has taken over Palais Festetics, which has been closed for a long time. The Noise Media Art Festival will take place in this newly opened space, offering the public access to this previously closed-off location.

The palace was built in 1858 in the style of the New Viennese Renaissance by the architect duo Johann Julius Romano (1818-1882) and August Schwendenwein (1817-1885) for Eugénie Countess Festetics von Tolna (1826-1894). The palace is a broad, representative building in the form of the Viennese Neo-Renaissance.
