Istanbul-based digital artist Yasin Arıbuğa produces works in 3D design, animation, graphic design, and augmented reality (AR).
He is often inspired by the discomfort created by seemingly peaceful scenes and moments when everything appears to be fine.
His artistic journey began with photography in 2018, which he intensified during the pandemic, transitioning into the 3D realm with the New Normal digital exhibition.
Through the Plastic Dreams Stage organized by Pera Museum and Hypercortex, he began to contemplate interaction, environment, and real-time elements in art.
In 2022, he participated in the group exhibition Brave New World at Pilot Gallery, interpreting the power of transforming the environment in digital assets from a passive observer to an active participant; he conducted research on the dialogue between the environment in digital art and the viewer.
In 2024, he participated in the Timeless Curiosities exhibition at Istanbul Modern with the work Coincidence, created together with Toprak Fırat, which explores the relationship between the viewer and the artwork, and the projections of concepts such as real-time and randomness.
